I like the idea of a quick shifter as overcoming a barrier to entry for motorcycles. Neither my wife or I know how to drive a standard vehicle, but shes too intimidated to learn throttle/clutch/shift to try to ride a bike. So a quick shifter is kind of like a happy medium to get her to try. One less thing for her to focus on at first.

Everyone says cover the rear brake but nobody explains why nor teaches you how to exit a wheelie

Most important mod for FZ07 is fix the suspension before EVERYTHING. It's terrible.

My 2016 fz-09 is the most fun bike I have ever owned and I have probably owned 30 or more bikes

It will work but not good on gears to not use clutch. If u have quick shift it controls computer and cuts rpm when the switch detects you're switching gears. No clutch just jam gears 😏that's love

I put the Puig Touring windscreen, being 6ft tall, it was a must. and honestly does change the look of the bike, makes it look bigger, wind protection now made a MASSIVE difference.

Why is no one stating wich muscles u use mainly? It should be the coremuscles, but its real easy to freeze up ur arms and hold on for dear life xD and with superstiff arm u aint getting nowere. Also if the core is not engaged ull push ur chest forward and f it up straight away. All hanky janky on everything

I’ve never ridden a motorcycle, but shifting in a car without the clutch. That sounds like a horrible idea. Like yanking the shifter from first to second without the clutch… does that even work? I’m asking because I’m not going to try it.

I like teaching with the assists on because then more attention is focused on lane positioning, teaching counter steering, vigilance and the like. That being said the bike I usually have new riders grab is an MT03 that doesn’t have a quick shifter. On my MT09SP I find I only use the quick shifter when I have to all of a sudden keep up with my friend on the MT10.
